    Pork Adobo

    According to the history, Adobo is not the original name for this dish. The original name was changed when the Spaniards conquered Philippines in the late 16th century and early 17th century, when they encountered an indigenous cooking process of stewing meat with vinegar, since then, they called this dish as Adobo, which is a Spanish term for marinating meat with vinegar. As time goes by the original name for this was totally lost. There are different style also in cooking adobo, but the most common one is this one.

    1 kilo pork
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup vinegar
    6 cloves garlic
    1 teaspoon peppercorn ( pamintang buo)

    1. Mix all the ingredients
    2. Put in a pot over medium heat.
    3. When its already boiling , stir it every now and then, and wait until the meat is tender.
    4. Serve it with rice.
