Maja blanca with Mango

I've learned this recipe from a high school classmate when she invited us to her birthday party, I was surprised that maja blanca can be cooked with mango, it is very delicious and creamy, I thought of sharing this recipe for my maja blanca flavors series.

Ingredients:
2 cups cornstarch
5 cups coconut milk
1 cup Nestle cream or light cream
2 cups white sugar
2 cups evaporated or fresh milk
1 mango ( diced)

Procedure:
1. Mix all the ingredients.

2. Bring to boil over medium heat stirring constantly until thickens. When it is already thick and firm it means it is cooked.
3.Pour in a molding tray then refrigerate before serving .

  2. I'm keeping the recipe. Thanks for sharing this. Kakaubos lang talaga! I got interested dahil sa cream and mango eh. I added shredded cheese as toppings(may sobrang cheese sa spag na niluto ko rin kanina)..super sarap po talaga! I'll definitely cook this again 1 day.

  3. Salamat for sharing Mely...will try this recipe today. I'll use canned peach instead of mango (can't find any ripe mango here in our local asian market).

  4. You can use dried mangoes instead of fresh mangoes. What I do to soften it is I put the dried mangoes with enough water to cover all of it and then microwave it for a few minutes. 2 to 3 minutes first and then check the texture if it's soft enough and then microwave it some more in 30 seconds increments.

You can use the left over juice/water from the dried mango/water mixture also for flavoring.

  6. talagang measuring cup po ang ginamit nyo? Maaaring di sapat ang sukat ng cornstarch, siksikin mo lang po kaunti, and make sure na talagang luto ang mixture bago mo isalin sa paglalagyan. Good luck sa next try mo, let me know uli, para mapagtulungan nating maperfect.
