    Lukot Salad





    This is not a green colored rice noodles, but this is a secretion from a sea slug which the Visayans called "Lukot"  Have you tasted this before? You should try this delicious salad.

    Ingredients:

    1/4 kilo lukot ( seaweed) wash very well
    1 small carrot ( sliced)
    1 cup vinegar
    1 small cucumber
    1 onion (minced)
    1 tomato (diced)
    1 tablespoon minced ginger
    1 teaspoon sugar
    salt to taste


    Procedure:
    1.  Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
    2. Garnish with pomelo and mango then serve. You can garnish it with any fruits and vegetables that you like.

    1. Apparently it's not a secretion nor a seaweed. It's eggs from a marine mollusk called "Dolabella Auricularia". They're called "Donsol" in the Philippines. More info here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolabella_auricularia
