How To Cook Breaded Shrimp Perfectly

Cook breaded shrimp like a pro by following this simple recipe :-).

Ingredients for 3 servings:
15 pieces medium size shrimps ( de-shelled and cleaned)
1 tablespoons lemon or calamansi juice
1/2 cup flour
2 beaten eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs ( Panko)
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. Butterfly the shrimps by cutting at the back side, then 

sprinkle with calamansi or lemon juice, salt and pepper to 

taste, mix well. Roll over the flour.


2. Dip in a beaten egg.
3. Roll over the Panko, this kind of crumbs will give the shrimp a perfect crispy texture.
4. Deep fry until done then remove from the oil and let rest on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve and enjoy.


Panko is a flaky bread crumb used in Japanese cuisine as a crunchy coating for fried foods.

Paksiw na may gatas


Out of my curiosity, I cooked this Paksiw with milk and it's delicious! Try it.

 Ingredients:

1/2 kilo fish
thumb size ginger (sliced)
3 cloves garlic ( crushed)
3/4 cup vinegar
1 cup evaporated  milk
salt and pepper to taste
Spring onion 

Procedure:
1. In a cooking pot put the vinegar, all the spices and fish cover and bring to a boil.
2. Let simmer until it is fully cooked.
3. Add the milk, salt and pepper to taste, then simmer until done.
4. Garnish with spring onion then serve hot with rice.

Ginataan na bagongon

Are you good at eating these shells called bagongon or telescope shell in English? I am a good eater of telescope shell because we always have it since I was young, I love sucking it when the meat of the shell and the flavor of the coconut milk touched your tongue and pallate together, "Lami" (yummy).

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo bagongon
thumb size ginger
1 small onion
1 cup thin coconut milk ( ikalawang piga)
1/2 cup pure coconut milk ( kakang gata)
1 bunch swamp cabbage ( kangkong) or talbos ng camote
salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Cut the tip of the shell then wash well.
2. In a pot put the thin coconut milk, ginger, chili and onion then stir and bring to a boil, when boiling add the telescope shell (bagongon) then simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the swamp cabbage ( kangkong) and simmer until half cooked then add the pure coconut milk and salt to taste then simmer until done.
4. Serve and enjoy. :-)

Spicy Pork Ribs





If you love a chili hot taste, you must try this easy pork ribs recipe. 


Ingredients:
3 kilos pork ribs ( slice to your desired size)
1/2 cup chili flakes
1 cup soy sauce
2 pieces laurel
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup tomato paste or tomato sauce
1 litre water
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Marinate the pork with chili flakes, laurel,soy sauce, salt and pepper for at least 30 minutes to allow the meat to absorb the flavors. 
2. Saute the garlic, then add the marinated meat ( keep the marinating sauce for later use)then braise until a little brownish  then add the marinating sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
3. Add the tomato paste, let simmer for few minutes then stir well to coat the meat with the tomato paste evenly, continue to simmer for 3 minutes.
4. Add the water and simmer for 30 minutes or until the meat is tender, 

5. Serve and enjoy. I added hard boiled eggs when I served this to my friends :-).

If you want to use fresh chili, just chop it then use the amount according to your taste.

Braised Beef with Onion

Simple beef recipe that you will definitely love. Braise means to lightly fry, usng this method makes the meat tastier because it locks the juice inside. I cooked this for my husband and he likes it so much.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
300 grams beef strips (serloin or tenderloin)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup water (add more if the meat is tough)
onion rings
salt and pepper to taste




Procedure:
1.Heat an oil then put the beef and braise it, after braising add the water, cover and simmer over medium heat until the water is almost dry.
2. Add the onion, soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste, stir until the onion is done.
3. Serve and enjoy. It is extra delicious if you serve it with garlic fried rice :-).

Mushroom Omelette




This is very simple and easy to cook but it is so yummy. My husband requested for an omelette and fried rice for our lunch. I surprised him with additional mushroom :-). Extra yummy.



Ingredients for 2 servings:
3 whole eggs (lightly beaten)
5 pieces fresh button mushrooms (sliced)
1 tomato ( sliced)
1/2 onion ( sliced)
salt and pepper to taste




Procedure:
1. Saute the tomato and onion then add the mushroom and continue sauteing until done, keep aside.






2. Put salt and pepper to the beaten egg then heat an oil, when the oil is already hot, pour the beaten egg.
3. While the egg is slowly cooking, add the sauteed mushrooms, flip both sides towards the center then continue cooking until done.


4. Top with shaved cheese then serve.

Mixed Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce

I love mushrooms so much, yes, SO MUCH :-). I could eat it everyday.  I cooked this for our dinner and my husband liked it. Mushrooms has a natural taste that's why I only used oyster sauce to enhance the flavor.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
250 grams mixed mushrooms
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 cup sliced spring onion
2 cloves garlic (minced)






Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the mushrooms and oyster sauce then stir and continue sauteeing until done.
2. Add spring onion and turn off the heat.
3. Serve and enjoy.

Paksiw sa Gata with Mushroom

Isa sa mga lutong Pinoy na ulam na gusto ko ay ang paksiw sa gata, dahil bukod sa masarap napakadali pang lutuin. Ang paksiw sa gata na ito ay lalong pinasarap ng mushroom, subukan nyo.

Mga Sangkap:
2 piraso ng tilapia (malinis na)
1 tasa gata
1/2 tasa suka
150 gramo mushrooms
30 gramo luya (hiniwa)
1 piraso sibuyas (hiniwa)
bawang (pinitpit)
asin 
pamintang durog


Paraan ng Pagluluto:
1. Ilagay sa paglulutuan ang bawang,luya,sibuyas saka ipatong ang isda, lagyan ng asin at paminta ayon sa iyong panlasa, ilagay ang suka saka takpan.
2. Isalang sa mahinang apoy hanggang sa kumulo, pakuluin ng maigi hanggang sa halos maluto na ito.
3.Ilagay ang mushroom at pakuluin hanggang sa maluto saka ilagay ang gata. Pwedeng dagdagan ng panimpla ayon sa iyong panlasa.
4. Patayin ang apoy pagkatapos ng isang kulo. Pwede ng ihain ang masarap na ulam na inihanda mong may pagmamahal :-).

Red Leaf Lettuce Salad


Red leaf lettuce is abundant at the garden this month, I decided to make different salad everyday and here is the first one from my imagination :-). 

Ingredients:
2 heads red leaf lettuce
1 piece mango ( sliced to your desired size)
2 tomatoes ( slice into wedges)

Procedure:
1. Prepare the lettuce by washing it well and cut to your desired size. Remove excess water by using a salad dryer or just put in the colander to strain off excess water.
2. In a serving dish, arrange the lettuce, mango and tomatoes then serve with your favorite salad dressing. I served this with lime and olive oil with a little salt for dressing. Enjoy!

Fried Rice with Minced Beef and Broccoli


Easy to cook fried rice yet so yummy.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
2 cups rice
150 grams minced or ground beef
1 cup broccoli florets
1 clove garlic (minced)
salt and pepper to taste
bell pepper to garnish

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the minced beef, saute until the pinkish color is gone.
2. Add the broccoli then season with salt and pepper stir, add the rice continue stirring until done.
3. Add the bell pepper to garnish then serve with a big smile :-).



I added 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce for this recipe that's why it's a little orangey, but it's not necessary.
